Refund Policy

At Hardkorr Campers, we build our camper trailers and caravans with durability and reliability in mind. Please make your purchase decision carefully, as all camper trailer sales are final and we do not offer refunds for change of mind.

We do, however, offer the following deposit structure:

  • Initial Holding Deposit: A $500 deposit is fully refundable if cancelled within 7 days of payment.
  • Full Deposit Commitment: After 7 days, a further deposit equal to 10% of the total purchase price is required. At this point, the entire deposit becomes non-refundable, including the original $500.

Refunds will only be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

 

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to:

  • replacement or refund for a major failure;
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage;
  • Repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

 

Hardkorr Campers (HKC) Warranty

In addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law, Hardkorr Campers (“HKC”) warrants that, subject to the limitations and exclusions below, all parts of our manufacture or assembly of the Camper Trailer or Caravan (the “Product”) are free from defects in material and workmanship for the following periods from the date of purchase:

Warranty Periods:

  • Trailer Structural Chassis: 5 years
  • Body & Suspension: 2 years
  • Canvas, Electrical Components, Breakers, Fuses & Wiring: 12 months
  • All Other Components: 12 months (unless otherwise stated)
  • Hardkorr Accessories and Other 3rd Party Items: Covered under manufacturer’s warranty

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable under any circumstances. It is void if the product is used in rental, hire, or lease arrangements.

 

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Accidents
  • Fair wear and tear
  • Misuse, abuse, or neglect (including improper servicing, failure to follow load limits, or maintenance neglect)
  • Immersion in water or usage that contradicts HKC guidelines
  • Storms or other acts of nature
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Continued use or towing after a known or suspected defect
  • Fitting or installation of non-approved accessories after leaving HKC premises

 

Tents

Tents are warranted to be in merchantable condition at the time of purchase. Wear and tear, zippers, mesh, and insect screens are not covered under warranty.

 

Transit & Delivery

HKC is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to goods during transit. However, we are happy to assist in resolving shipping issues if reported within 12 hours of delivery.

 

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a claim:

  1. Complete the official HKC Warranty Claim Form
  2. Our warranty team will contact you for assessment.
  3. You may be required to return the product to HKC or an authorised service agent for inspection.

If your claim is approved, repairs will be carried out by HKC or a nominated repairerRepairs conducted without our written approval will not be covered, and HKC will not be responsible for costs or damage arising from unauthorised work.

If your claim is not approved, we will notify you in writing. You will be responsible for collecting the product within 30 days or it may be disposed of at HKC’s discretion.

All freight and transport costs for warranty claims are the responsibility of the purchaser.

 

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Rust or corrosion
  • Consumables (bearings, bulbs, etc.)
  • Paint and surface coatings
  • Appliances not manufactured by HKC (e.g., fridges, cookers) – these are covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranty
  • Upgrades or alterations to comply with new regulations after manufacture
  • Accommodation, transport, loss of earnings, or any indirect expenses related to repair or warranty work

 

Limitation of Liability

Except where otherwise required by law, if HKC approves your warranty claim, your remedy is limited to one of the following at our discretion:

  • Repair by a nominated repairer
  • Replacement of the Product
  • Refund of the purchase price

For major failures, or where we cannot provide a timely remedy, you may be entitled to a full refund under law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HKC is not liable for consequential, special, aggravated, or punitive damages. In all cases, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the product that is the subject of the warranty claim.
